This 12-class, highly accelerated and intensive course is designed to give the professional actor- whether highly experienced or not--a clearer, more solid and effective approach to scene work by identifying, outlining, and refining the major craft components and tools in acting through a combination of practical exercises, lecture, and assignments. The work is primarily individual, but ensemble as well.
The goal is to have a comprehensive set of tools and techniques to create rich, truthful, organic life unique to each actor. The techniques are designed to advance and even re-work the actor's most effective use of emotional and sensory life, observation, personalization, relationship, and script analysis in order to efficiently create life for the text. The class is also designed to highly improve issues of confidence, concentration, self-awareness, self-consciousness, interaction, ensemble, and especially heighten the actor's more artistic, philosophical and professional relationship to the work.
