Emotional Range: Your journey into self-discovery!
Storytelling & authentic connection is at the core of what we do. In this 4-day intensive taking place over two weeks, you will go deep into your emotional story and learn how to access your own sources AND take on someone else’s words as if they are your own. In a safe, creative environment with limited number of spots, actors will:

  • First, write & deliver two of their own true-to-life stories (1st week tragic, 2nd week comedic)
  • Then, deliver their classmate’s stories as their own monologue in class
  • Apply emotional recall to real stories and safely access sources
  • Personalize non-fiction material
  • Learn to honor the writer’s words

CLASSES TAKE PLACE OVER ZOOM. TO JOIN CLASS YOU WILL NEED A PHONE, IPAD, TABLET, OR COMPUTER WITH INTERNET CONNECTION

Emotional range class

This course will address very emotional sensitive subjects, which can be an intense experience. Because of this, actors should be in good mental & emotional health before enrolling in this course. We always take care to work safely with actors, and keep our studio free of emotional blackmail or public exhibition of personal material. Additionally, we recommend (but don’t require) attending our 8 Steps Lecture & read Howard’s book Fine On Acting prior to participating.
