Youth Acting Class (3 weeks): Ages 10-14
This class takes place over Zoom and is taught by Gina Simms.
Youth Acting Class is a 3 week "Actor's Gym" meeting twice a week where students work specifically and correctly. Scenes are given during class with no homework, and nothing to prepare before class begins. Students are redirected in their second read and will learn how to properly take direction (whether it be from casting or a director on set) without getting in their heads and losing authentic connection.
This course is dedicated to the working actor between jobs to keep their acting muscles in shape! Young artists strengthen script analysis, and in a short time behave truthfully with full connection to the material. The performer’s ability to bring themselves to any role given is the goal of this course.
Prerequisite: Acting Technique.

Class runs for 1.5- 2 hours each week.

REQUIREMENTS
The use of a phone, Ipad, tablet or computer to join online class via ZOOM and record self-taped videos for homework.
You are required to join this online class from a stable and focused environment with strong internet connection. Please do not take class from a car, airport, restaurant, etc.
All students in acting based classes are encouraged to obtain and read copies of Howard’s book, Fine on Acting: A Vision of the Craft and Uta Hagen’s, A Challenge for the Actor. Both of these texts are required for the 6-Week Acting Technique course.
HOW IT WORKS
Upon receipt of payment, participants will receive a confirmation with the information and instructions for joining the online class. Joining a Zoom meeting is super easy and requires the use of one of the following: computer, tablet, phone or Ipad.
Payment must be received before the class start time to be permitted entry into the course.
In order to ensure proper enrollment, please leave a first and last name and use this same name to log into Zoom on the day of the meeting. Your name will be seen by other participants. Participants who try to join the Zoom meeting under a name other than used to enroll here will not be granted access in to the meeting.
